original alien swarm didn't have any rich presence support at all, so they likely just pulled a game list from somewhere

hey guess what we're adding endless missions

I'm planning out an endless mission based on Dark Sector Cholistan (Excavation) in Warframe.

Basically, the gameplay loop is get batteries -> put batteries in excavators -> excavators generate points and sometimes resources (random ammo, etc) -> mission difficulty increases as excavators are finished

and instead of having excavators launched in from space, they're all in static locations and if they take damage they just lose their battery charge and need to be manually reset

I've got part of the template for the excavators themselves finished, but I still need to plan out:
  • how you get the batteries (respawn at specific locations? special enemies drop them like in warframe?)
  • how the map is going to be laid out
  • actually that's it that's all the remaining planning I have to do (okay that second one is a big list item)

i get my batteries from the supermarket they're in the aisle with all the lightbulbs. hope this helps
