can I put together enough ideas to make a 3-7 mission campaign, at least one endless mission (my idea for this is something along the lines of a Warframe excavation mission), possibly one or two standalone bonus missions, and maybe some variants of the maps set up for deathmatch? hell, maybe even throw in some scripted challenge modes. It'd be the biggest workshop addon by number of types of content, but if I can actually *do* it it'll be great
sources of inspiration include Deep Rock Galactic, the Left 4 Dead 2 campaign Hard Rain, Warframe, Half-Life 2 sections involving xen wildlife, that lava cave in Stardew Valley, Portal and Portal 2 BTS sections, Alien Removal Division, various indie cyberpunk games with good depictions of trans people that I saw once in a let's play and don't know the name of, Furi, sections of Guild Wars 2 involving Asura or Xunlai Jade, XCOM/2, Risk of Rain/2, Natural Selection 2, Space Station 13...
now that Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop can have custom talk sprites for NPCs and addons can add their own closed captions, I'd love to have some trans and/or furry NPCs on comms. maybe some people from the fediverse can cameo?
my previous attempts to make Alien Swarm addons have either been successful long ago or kind of trailed off out of my mind. so I was thinking, what if I combine all of my lost ideas in recent memory into one big project and spend a lot longer planning and outlining and prototyping than I have previously?

I'm thinking there's going to be 1 character for each of the three standalone missions and 2-3 characters for the campaign. Dialogue is whatever the polar opposite of "final" is.
